James Ray Young

James Ray Young of Seymour, Iowa, passed away on March 12, 2026 at the age of 69. He will be remembered with deep affection by all whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Young; his brother, Gary Lee Young; and his grandparents, Vic and Margaret Cleeton and Jim and Trella Young.

James is survived by his mother, Karen Young (Cleeton); his wife, Connie Edmondson of O'Fallon; his children, Rachael Jones of Ankeny, Tracy Statom (Jon Mark) of Florence, and Travis Young (Rachel) of Chariton; his grandchildren, Lily, Silas Jones, Josie, Ridge, Briar, Maggie Statom, Garrett, and Lottie Young; his sister, Vicky Decker (Andy); and his sibling’s children, Chad Peck (Sarah), Torry Peck (Lindsy), and Angie Enright (Jeff). He is also survived by numerous extended family members and close friends.
