NuttallJames Russell Nuttall, 88, passed peacefully at his home in Abington on March 15, 2026.A proud native of Quincy, James is predeceased by his parents Chester and Marion Nuttall, and his sister Marion and her husband Jamie Sarno of Quincy.Born on February 22, 1938, James attended Boston trade schools for machining and baking. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1958 until 1962, marrying his wife Sandra Sampson, of Abington the same year. James and Sandy have lived in the same home in Abington since 1967.James was known for his work ethic, spending long careers in the micro medical machining industry (TNCO in Whitman), bakeries (The Toll House in Whitman), and in his later years as a fire extinguisher technician for R. E. Lyons Fire Equipment in Rockland. When he was not working, James spent his hoursbuilding furniture, gardening, working on his home, and time with family.James is survived by his wife Sandra; daughter Debra and her husband Eric Hansen of New York; son John and his wife Laura of Abington; five grandchildren and one great grandson.A private service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
