Marshfield, MA

James P. Migre, 94, of Green Harbor in Marshfield, formerly of Pembroke, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on November 14, 1931, in Center Pembroke, he was the son of the late Pasquale J. and Helena (Gray) Migre. Raised during the hardships of the Great Depression, Jimmy learned early the values of hard work, loyalty, and community. He spent his boyhood outdoors exploring the woods and frozen ponds of Pembroke, helping with garden chores alongside his older brothers George and William. Those formative years quietly shaped a man of steady strength and deep appreciation for the relationships in his life.

A graduate of Pembroke High School, Class of 1950, Jimmy later attended Wentworth Institute of Technology to study electrical work and engineering. From 1952 to 1953, he worked in the Arctic with the U.S. Weather Bureau on a joint United States-Canadian project. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. Following his military service, he began a distinguished career as a machine operator and diesel master mechanic. A proud member of Local 4 IUOE Machine Operators Union, he celebrated 50 years with the union in 2018. Known for his willingness to help anyone in need, Jimmy took great pride in his work and the lasting friendships it brought.

An avid boater, he cherished time aboard his boats, the Harbor Lights, Sea Duce, and The Charmer, finding joy and laughter on the water. He was the devoted partner of the late Marilee Raynor, the love of his life.

Jimmy was predeceased by his brothers George Migre and his wife Barbara of Pembroke, and William Migre and his wife Jean of Hanover. He is survived by his nieces and nephews Kathleen Bergeron and her husband Lee of Hanson, George Migre and his wife Gerry of Effingham, NH, Mary Ellen Migre of Quincy, Terry Davies (Migre) and her late husband John of Norfolk, Jeff Migre and his wife Mary Ellen of Hanover, and Sam Migre and his wife Dawne of Halifax, as well as the late Gael Migre. He leaves behind 16 great-nieces and nephews and 14 great-great-nieces and nephews. A generous and loving uncle, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
