He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter and Ruby Margaret (Robinson). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Robinson; his children, Steve Watkins (Renee) of Peoria, IL, Salinda Voepel of Hannibal and Lisa Salter (Mark) of New London; his grandchildren, Andrea Coffey (Justin), Ashley Cooper (Codie), Zachary Watkins, Jaime Watkins, Jessica Bramblett (Curtis), Chris Voepel, Shelbey Witt (Corey) and Macey Salter; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Noah, Addison, Olivia, Blakley, Cora, Mary Jane, James, Corbin and Maverick; and his brothers, David Michael Watkins (Jeanine) and Gary Joe Watkins (Marlene).

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home (104 S Collier St, Centralia, MO 65240). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at the Mt. Horeb Cemetery (1852 Sturgeon Cemetery Rd, Sturgeon, MO 65284).
