James Nicholas “Nick” Antosek, 22, our sweet, loving, kind-hearted son, brother, grandson, and best friend, went home to his Heavenly Father, Jesus, on March 5, 2026.Nick was born on December 17, 2003, in Salisbury, North Carolina, to Joseph Francis Antosek, III, and Amanda Kepley Antosek. To know Nick was to love Nick. His faith and relationship with God guided him throughout his life and were reflected in the love he showed to everyone around him. He was a confirmed Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Nick truly believed in the goodness of every person. With his big heart and compassion for others, Nick had a special way of making everyone feel like family. He had an infectious smile that lit up every room he entered, and he never met a stranger. Nick carried himself with a quiet humility that made everyone feel comfortable and accepted. He loved his family dearly, especially his brother and sister.Nick loved spending time with his family and friends, and was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved the most. He spent many of his days playing golf at the Country Club of Salisbury. One of his favorite things was playing Fortnite with his close friends, often spending hours laughing and talking together. He enjoyed many poker nights, playing basketball, concerts, and casino trips with his friends and family. Some of his favorite memories were at PGA events and NC State football games. He loved traveling, but he also loved his home. No matter where he was or what he was doing, Nick had a way of bringing people together and making everyone smile. As big of a man as Nick was, he had an even bigger heart. As an organ donor, he was blessed to be able to donate his heart, a beautiful reminder of the generosity, inclusion, and love he showed throughout his entire life.He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Salisbury High School (Class of 2022), where he played soccer, basketball, and golf. After graduating, Nick continued his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity.
