James proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years, stationed in Germany. After his military service, he worked as a skilled millwright. He later moved his family from the city to the countryside, determined to provide them with a better quality of life.
He found great joy in fishing and golf, spending many hours outdoors, and he held a deep passion for reading and writing. His beloved dog, Taco, was a cherished companion who brought him much happiness over the years.
James is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Horn) Banfield and her husband Ki Banfield; his son Tobin Horn; his grandchildren Mario Burns, James Burns, Anthony Burns, Kaitlin Horn, and Teresa Baldwin; and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents George and Adele (Beaudoin) Horn, his brother George Horn, and his daughters Tracy Horn and Cheryl (Horn) Baldwin. His legacy is one of resilience and quiet strength, a man who worked tirelessly for his family while embracing life’s simple pleasures.
