James Mode

We bid farewell to James Mode of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 4, 2026 at the age of 84. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrin Albert Mode and Margaret "Peggy" Stella Mode (Fischer); his wife Georgia Knox; his parents-in-law, William "Bill" and Jane Knox; and his uncles, Ray Fischer (Mary), Robert Fischer (Helen) and John Fischer (Joan).

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Geoffrey and Stephenie; his children, Greg (Tina Bothum) and Gina (John Galvin); his sister Diane Corcoran (Ed); and his brothers-in-law, David Knox (Dedi), Randy Knox (Denise Derry) and Brian Knox (Terrie). He is also survived by eleven cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church (302 Merchants Ave, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church or the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
