James Michael Barton III, age 58, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 13, 2026. Born in Alhambra, California, he was the son of the late James Michael Barton II and Barbara Roadway Barton.
A U.S. Navy veteran, James worked as a boiler maker throughout his career. He found deep joy in the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or camping, yet nothing meant more to him than the time spent with his family and friends. His steady presence and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Leigh Barton; his children, Jonathan, Krystle, Keila, and Jazmyn; his sister, Barb; and four grandchildren.
