James Ludwig

James Ludwig, born October 12, 1948, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Joan Ludwig (née Scime). Devoted father to James Anthony Ludwig and his wife Catherine, and MaryBeth McGrath and her husband Paul. He was the cherished Papa of Anthony, Grace, Peter, and Timothy. Jim was the loving son of the late August Ludwig and Betty Dillman, and the son-in-law of the late Anthony and Mildred Scime. He is also survived by his brothers Harry Ludwig and Kevin Ludwig and his wife Jeanette, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A proud 41-year kidney transplant recipient, Jim faced life with quiet strength and deep gratitude. He will be remembered for the steadfast love he showed his family and the warmth he extended to all who knew him.
