Born on January 21, 1942, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Oskar Cornelius Teigen and Gladys Woods Teigen, he grew up alongside his siblings Josephine, Jeanette, Richard, and Vernon, known as Sonny. He later served his country in the United States Air Force.
He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for the life he built and the family he cherished.
