James John Stone

James John Stone passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on September 15, 1962, to James Edward and Marilyn Helene (Edwards) Stone, James faced the challenges of epilepsy and mental impairment from birth yet met every obstacle with remarkable resilience. He graduated from high school in the early 1980s and worked various jobs through the MORC program throughout his adult life.

In his younger years, James found joy in playgrounds, helping his brothers with their paper routes, and competing in the Special Olympics. He cherished the outdoors, riding his bike, golfing with his father and brothers, spending time with his sisters, and taking family trips up north. A devoted Boy Scout for most of his life under the guidance of his father as Scout Master, James held his family close to his heart and remained deeply connected to them all.

He is survived by his siblings, Barbara Jo Ihme (the late Phillip Church), the late Michael, David (Anna Russell) Stone, Jill (Don) Kennedy, Mark Stone, Guy Stone, and Patrick Stone, along with eleven nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents and five nieces and nephews. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
