He was born September 4, 1937 in Waco, son of the late James and Edra Nell Hatchett. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Hatchett; and sisters, Janice Nix and Sue Graham.Survivors include his children, Steve (Susan) Hatchett, Jason (Megan) Hatchett, Dr. Jonathan (Erinne) Hatchett, all of Bremen, Jeff (Julie) Hatchett of LaGrange and Debbie Hatchett of Bremen; sister, Elaine Cartwright of Bremen; seven grandchildren Erin (Reagan) Mabry, Stephanie (Aaron) Coalson, Matthew (Samantha) Hatchett, Jonah Hatchett, Camille Grace Hatchett, Anna Ruth Hatchett and Jones Hatchett; and nine great grandchildren, Ryah Coalson, Cora Coalson, Lyla Coalson, Everly Coalson, Carson Hatchett, Wavorly Hatchett, Araelia Hatchett, Brailey Mabry and Kinley Mabry.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.Services will be Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 11:00 am from Waco Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Hatchett officiating. Matthew Hatchett, Jonah Hatchett, Cole Sanders, Justin Sanders, Reagan Mabry, Jones Hatchett and Mike Sanders will serve as Pallbearers. L.C. Guice will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.Interment will follow at Waco Cemetery.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
