James J. Case, 78, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 2, 1947, Jim was the son of John and Regina (née Mischler) Case. A proud graduate of Salesianum School, he went on to serve honorably in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he built a successful career as a car salesman, earning a reputation for his honesty and genuine dedication to his customers.

Jim was a patriotic man with a deep love for the New York Yankees. He found joy in riding his Harley Davidson and remained a devout Catholic and devoted parishioner of St. Matthew’s Church throughout his life. He shared many loving years with his beloved wife, Jackie Case (née Borkowski), whom he married on February 1, 1969. Together they created a life centered on their deep devotion to one another and their family.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Ferguson (Matt), Melanie Klosiewicz (Tommy), and Mary Beth Case (Pat); his grandchildren, Sal, JJ, Ryan, Sarah, Thomas, Rylee, James, John, Reagan, and Leah; his siblings, Kathy Kaufhold (Bill), Diana Cropper, and Bryan Case (Lisa); and many other family members and friends. Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will continue to be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
