James Husby

James Husby was born on November 17, 1935, and passed away on March 9, 2026. He lived his life with the same passion, dedication, loyalty, and love that he taught his children. Jim brought exuberance to every role he held, approaching each day with a full heart and unwavering spirit.

A farmer’s son, he was also a champion football player, a National Guardsman, a sports team manager and referee, and a skilled and respected lineman and foreman. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary; his first wife, Gretchen; his sister-in-law, Joy Cassidy; and eight of his ten siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his brothers, Vaughn (Janet) and Mick (Ann); his brother-in-law, Donald (Janet) Moser; his children, Mary (George), David, Robin (David), Jamie/Charlie (Patrick), Jennifer, Melissa (David), and John; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
