James H. Schlieger

James H. Schlieger of Flint, Michigan, passed away on March 17, 2026 at the age of 96. He lived a long and full life, remembered fondly by family and friends for the quiet strength and steady presence he brought to those around him.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Catherine Schlieger (Kildow); his wife Joan Schlieger; his granddaughter Lynette Schlieger; his sister Arlene; and his siblings-in-law, Roland Haight, Joyce, Ernie Fournier, Barb, Don Miller, Don Haddix and Lucille Locke.

James is survived by his children, James E. Schlieger (Debbie) of Swartz Creek and June Alexander of Flint; his granddaughter Jill Schlieger; his great-grandchild Stacey Cole (Danny); his sister-in-law Shirley Haddix; and Jeff, Susan Hall, Kristen, Edgar, Killian, Clint, Heather Hall, Mallory, Taylor, Landon and Jewel. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.
