James Gregory Chock

James Gregory Chock, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home on March 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 24, 1951, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Aloys and Catherine (Hogan) Chock, Jim graduated from Holdingford High School before proudly serving in the United States Navy for twenty years. He later worked in sales for another twenty years before retiring.

Jim shared forty years of marriage with his wife Lois Ziegenhagen until her passing in 2019. He was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in his children and grandchildren.

He is lovingly survived by his three daughters, Jennifer Chock, Jaime (Corey) Gordon, and Katharine (Chase) Laffea; six grandchildren, David, William, Leilani, James, and Malia Laffea, and Bowen Gordon; his sisters, Janice (Ray) Jaeger and Rose (Chester) Blascziek; and many in-laws from Lois’s family, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. In addition to his wife, Jim was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Robert and Rosemary Ziegenhagen, his sister-in-law Jean Raatz, and former sister-in-law Bonnie Case.

Jim will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Lois in Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Oshkosh.
