With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Freeman Barlow (Murfreesboro, Tennessee), who passed away on March 6, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Barlow and Trudy Thompson Barlow; his daughter Shawna Jane Barlow; and his siblings, Diane Barlow, Wanda Hawkins and Louie Barlow.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Barlow; his daughters, Christy Barlow Cantrell and Sheree Barlow Butler; his siblings, William Barlow, David Barlow (Margaret) and Helen Swift (Jerry); his grandchildren, Jameson Edmiston, Hailey Lindsey (Jacob), McKenzie Gibson (Trey), McKayla Killebrew and Grant Luffman; his great grandchildren, Stella Lindsey, Brooks Lindsey and Briley Jane Gibson; his nieces, Melissa Barnick and Andrea Hawkins; and his grandson Devon.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Roselawn Funeral Home (5350 NW Broad St, Murfreesboro, TN 37129). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
