James F. Belanger

The memory of James F. Belanger of West Bend, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 5, 2026 at the age of 70, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his father Francis Belanger; his brother Jeffrey Belanger; his grandsons, Hunter and Nicholas; and his significant other Amy.

He is survived by: his mother Patricia Belanger; his children, Sherra Burg (Tim), Chairity Belanger and Forrest Belanger (Casey); his grandsons, Bruce, Benjamin (Sarah), James, Tommy, Brandon (Jessica), Blake, Madyson and Forrest Jr.; his great grandchildren, Riverleigh and Iyla; and his sister Lynn Knop (Don). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend (629 Cedar St, West Bend, WI 53095). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame are appreciated.
