James Randall ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Omps Funeral Home and Cremation Center - Amherst Chapel on Mar. 17, 2026.James Edward Randall, 58, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, surrounded by his wife and children.James was born in 1967 in Mobile, Alabama, to James Edward Randall Jr. and the late Anna Louise (Gill) Sanders. He spent much of his childhood in New Orleans, a city that remained close to his heart and one he always considered home. James devoted 25 years of his professional career to Shenandoah University, where he served as a Computer Network Administrator and was widely respected for his dedication and technical expertise.James found great joy in life's simple traditions and in the time, he spent with those he loved most. One of his favorite traditions was Saturday morning breakfast at the Winchester Waffle House with his family. He was known for his kind and caring nature and had a genuine passion for helping others whenever he could. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He married Sarah (Easton) Randall on December 12, 1992, in White Post, Virginia, and together they built a life centered on family. He treasured the time he spent with his granddaughter, Anna, and took every opportunity to create memories with his family.James is survived by his wife, Sarah; his father, James Edward Randall Jr.; his children, Fisher Randall, Lena Randall, Elaina Randall, and James Horn; his granddaughter, Anna Grace Horn, with another grandchild on the way; and his sister, Beth Randall. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Louise (Gill) Sanders.James will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the deep love he had for his family and those around him.A visitation will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, at 12:30 PM at the Shenandoah University Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM with Pastor Gene Hawkins officiating.
