Oliff ,77, beloved husband of Margo (nee' Waldman) for 51 wonderful years; loving father of Lauren (Michael) Zuccaro, Janette (Joshua) Graham, and Lee (Dana) Oliff; proud grandfather of Madden, Lily and Avery Zuccaro, Hudson Graham, Gino Zuccaro, Lennon and Tripp Graham, Vinny Zuccaro, and Olivia Oliff; devoted brother of the late Marlene (Julian) Sowa; cherished son of the late Hershel and Adelle Oliff; and friend to all. James passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of February 24, 2026, surrounded by family. James lived a life firmly anchored in traditional family values based on compassion, generosity, respect, and unwavering integrity. Known for his wise counsel, calm demeanor, he was a mentor and confidant to many and a steadfast advocate for those in need. His innate sense of humor offered perspective and disarmed even the most stressful of situations. A trusted advisor and visionary leader, James helped usher in a revolutionary era of electronic trading, ultimately leading to his induction into the Futures Industry Association Hall of Fame in 2023. James found joy and inspiration in baseball, music, and the arts, passions he embraced with enthusiasm throughout his life. Though a man of many talents and accomplishments, James took no greater happiness or pride than family. While James will be deeply missed, his teachings, values, and example will endure forever through those who had the privilege of knowing him.
