James Donald McClanahan, age 69 of Hartsville, TN, passed away Friday morning, March 13, 2026 at his residence. James is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN.

Funeral Services for James Donald McClanahan will be conducted Friday afternoon, March 20, 2026 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Joey Hackett officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillsdale Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Thursday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.

He is preceded in death by: parents, B.H. & Mary Belle (Presley) McClanahan; sister, Clara Crook; brother, Grover McClanahan.

Survivors include: wife, Mary Bush McClanahan of Hartsville; children, Gwen Corley of Franklin, KY, Vincent Taylor, Bridgett Crowder & husband, Richard all of Westmoreland, Chancey Green & wife, Kristie of Franklin, KY, Rocky Green of Scottsville, KY; 25 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Bruce McClanahan, brothers-in-law, Donnie Crook, Jerry Bush, and Daniel Gregory; sister-in-law, Eunice & Jackie Stagner, nieces, Donna Satterfield & husband, Mike, Ashley McClanahan, Brittany McClanahan, & Christy Scurlock; nephew, Tony Crook & wife, Tanya and several other nieces and nephews.
