James Dennis "Jim" McCabe

James Dennis McCabe, 77, of Allen, Texas, passed away on March 5, 2026, the same day he celebrated his 77th birthday. Born on March 5, 1949, Jim grew up during a time of great change in America and answered the call to serve his country as a member of the United States Army. His time in the military shaped his sense of duty, discipline, and lifelong respect for fellow veterans.

Jim met the love of his life, Sung Kim, and they were married on October 18, 1980, in Seoul, South Korea. Their marriage was built on deep commitment, partnership, and a lifetime of shared experiences. After his military service, he built a successful career in the technology industry. A true pioneer in the digital world, Jim possessed a genuine fascination with computers and emerging technologies long before they became commonplace, and he delighted in exploring and sharing that passion with others.

He remained an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Allen, where he found great value in the camaraderie and connection with fellow veterans who shared similar experiences and a dedication to service.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sung McCabe of Allen, Texas; his son, David McCabe of Allen, Texas; his son, Stephen McCabe and wife, Lily, of Detroit, Michigan; and many other loving family members and friends.
