James "Jim" Daniel Hogan

James Daniel Hogan, M.D., 76, of La Crosse and Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, passed quietly into eternal peace on March 9, 2026. Jim was born in Mauston, Wisconsin September 26, 1949 to Cyril Hogan and Matilda “Tillie” “Wilke.

A beloved physician and colleague, Jim practiced medicine for thirty-five years, choosing to delay retirement because of his deep commitment to his patients.

Jim is survived by his wife Julie (Lunenschloss), daughters Molly (Scott) McKinley and Maggie (Jes) Skaug; grandchildren Lila, Henry, and Oliver McKinley and Sidney and Violet Skaug.

A private service for immediate family will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church followed by internment at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Jim’s memory to Holy Hill Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians or the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
