Born in Pittsburgh to Bill and Virginia (Moorehead) Newell. Jim was a dedicated employee of Duquesne Light as a power plant operator. He was known for his strength and sharp wit.He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife of 53 years, Carol (Geyer) Newell and grandson Dylan Ryan Newell. He was a devoted grandfather and father who cherished his time with family.He is survived by his children Kimberly (Ken) Walsh, Heather (Steven) Sinagra, and James (Megan) Newell and grandchildren, Kaela Walsh, Kathryn Walsh, Peyton Sinagra, Carly Sinagra, Devin Newell, and Delanie Newell.Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the D'ALESSANDRO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY LTD., Butler at 46th Sts., Lawrenceville, where family and friends will then gather on Friday at 9am for a service.
