Carl was born on December 23, 1948, inClanton, Alabama, to Velma Moates Easterling and Julius Daniel Easterling.Carl was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather whose life wasdefined by hard work, loyalty, and a deep love for his family. For 53 years, he shared astrong and enduring marriage with his beloved wife, Pam Easterling. Together they builta life rooted in commitment, faith, and family. Carl was a dedicated father to hisdaughter, Carla, and his son, Michael, always leading by example through his quietstrength, integrity, and unwavering support.He was preceded in death by his parents, Velma Moates Easterling and Julius DanielEasterling, and his siblings, Dean Peters, Faye Haynes, Pam Battles, Edna Lawton,Rusty Easterling, and Junior Easterling.Carl was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He spent over 20 yearsworking as a mechanic at Royal Oldsmobile, where his skill, reliability, and pride in hiswork earned the respect of coworkers and customers alike. No matter how hard heworked, he always made time for the people who mattered most.Though Carl never sought the spotlight and preferred a quiet life, he leaves behind alegacy worthy of recognition. He was a man of honor, loyalty, and integrity. His kindnessand generosity were felt by everyone who knew him. If Carl knew you, he cared aboutyou. He was the kind of man who would lend a helping hand without hesitation and givethe shirt off his back to help someone in need.Carl found joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time fishing, tending to hisgarden, and listening to music. These quiet moments brought him peace, but nothingbrought him greater happiness than being surrounded by his family. Of all hisaccomplishments, the role he cherished most was being a husband, father, andgrandfather.Carl is survived by his loving wife, Pam Easterling; his children, Carla Atchison (Mike)and Michael Easterling (Shanda); his cherished grandchildren, Emma Atchison, ReeseEasterling, Liam Easterling, and Kinnley Pennington; and his great-granddaughter,Laynie Pennington. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dearfriends who will miss him greatly.While our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Carl's legacy liveson through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the many memories thatwill forever remain in our hearts.Viewing will be held on, March 19, 2026, from 12 – 1 PM at McCalla Funeral Home.Graveside service to follow at Macedonia Cemetery with Pastor, Scott Edwardspresiding.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
