James Baxter Holland

James Baxter Holland of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on April 26, 1954, James graduated from Little Rock Central High School and remained a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was known by family and friends as a kind, gentle, and devoted man who loved his family with his whole heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jurda Holland, his mother, Reba Sneed Holland, and his sister, Karen Holland.

James is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Holland; his daughter, Melissa Holland (Natalie); and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his grandson, Jack Robert Holland, due May 6, 2026. He is also survived by his sister, Ulean Holland, his brother, Willis Holland (Connie), and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Throughout his life, James found joy in baseball, softball, fishing, and golfing, but took special pride in coaching his daughter Melissa in numerous sports. He loved spending time piddling in his garage, always finding something to fix or tinker with, and cherished Thanksgiving most of all as a time to gather with the people he loved. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his kindness to everyone he met, and the deep love he had for his family.
