James Albert Miller

James Albert Miller, 68, of Leicester, North Carolina, passed away on March 11, 2026, at his home. Born on October 26, 1957, in Asheville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Vestal and Peggy Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Miller, and his siblings, Lynn Miller, Barry Miller, and Randy Miller.

James cherished his wife, Teresa, and took great joy in spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known as a gifted storyteller with a warm sense of humor and remained a devoted NASCAR fan throughout his life. His family will remember him for the love and laughter he brought into their lives.

He is survived by his children, James Michael Miller and his wife, Kerrie, and Joseph Daniel Miller and his wife, Angelita; his sister, Sherry Rice; his aunt, Laura Ward; grandchildren Austin, Anthony, Kellie, Skyler, and Mikey; great-grandchildren Kourtney “Scooter,” Tyson, Lilli, and Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.

He was laid to rest beside his wife in a private ceremony. The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by Mary Kate of hospice.
