He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alvin and Agnes Frances Wilson (Hurley); and his son James A. Wilson III. He is survived by: his wife Caroline E. Wilson (Brown); his daughter Victoria E. Gauthier (Michael E. Gauthier, Jr.) of Boxborough; his granddaughter Keira Wilson; and his aunt Jacqueline Baldwin (Hurley) of Lowell.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dracut Funeral Home (2159 Lakeview Ave, Dracut, MA 01826). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in James's memory to Truckers Final Mile, a charity dedicated to assisting truck drivers and their families in times of crisis.
