James Marshall ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Bevis Funeral Home - Tallahassee on Mar. 10, 2026.James A Marshall (84) of Tallahassee, Fl, passed away on February 23, 2026.Jim was born January 21,1943 to parents James and Ethel Marshall in Nashville, Tennessee.After Jim graduated from Miami Jackson High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964 as a Military K9 Officer.Jim is survived by his wife Bonnie Steigerwald/Straw, brother Edward Marshall, threesons James R. (Susan Marshall), Kenneth R. and Thomas M. (Brandie Marshall), stepdaughterMichele White (Jason White), 7 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Predeceased by his Father and Mother, James W and Ethel Marshall and grandson Izaya Marshall, was a member of Civil Air Patrol, a Co-Founder of the K-9 Search and Rescue Team in South Florida, an assistant football coach for the Optimist Club of Miami Springs and assistant soccer coach for Pembroke Pines Optimist Club, a member of the American Legion, and a proud member of Safety Team for the Four Oaks Community Church of Killearn. Jim retired after 18 years of service with the Broward County Sheriff Office as a Crime Scene Investigative Aid. Jim always loved helping people and being close to family.He is greatly missed and forever remembered!A service will be held at Tallahassee National Cemetery on April 10th, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
