Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Linwood Cemetery.Jakory Stephen McMillian was born on October 30, 2009, to Stephanie McMillian and Anton Harris. From the very beginning, Jakory brought light, laughter, and love to everyone around him.At an early age, Jakory accepted Christ, and his bright spirit quickly became a blessing to all who knew him. Jakory was smart, fearless, funny, protective, and full of life. His energy could light up any room, and he truly was the life of the party. Jakory carried himself with confidence and joy, leaving smiles wherever he went. His loving smile, playful personality, and unforgettable presence will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him. Jakory will truly be missed, but never forgotten.On March 9th, the Lord called Jakory home, reminding us that sometimes God's plans are greater than our understanding. Though his time with us was far too short, the love and memories he leaves behind will last a lifetime. Jakory is now reunited in Heaven with loved ones who were waiting to welcome him home, most notably his loving mother, Stephanie, and his granddad. As the saying goes, "Although the music stopped, the party ain't over."Jakory leaves behind many who loved him deeply: his father, Anton, and stepmother, Amber; his brothers, Marcus and Anton; his best friend, Kierra; his sister, Nairobi; and his stepsister, Nessa. He also leaves his loving grandmothers, Castella and Vearnell, along with close cousins Destiny, Calvin, Joseph, and Angel. Jakory was blessed with many caring aunties, uncles, family members, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.Though we mourn his loss, we celebrate the beautiful life Jakory lived and the joy he brought to everyone around him.
