Jad Katbeh

Jad Katbeh, 87, of Jonesboro, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Born on April 8, 1938, in Nabek, Syria, to the late Abdo and Salimeh Katbeh, he grew up with a deep and abiding faith that would guide him throughout his life.

Jadallah served as an Elder at the Tripoli Presbyterian Church in Lebanon and dedicated 55 years to his profession as a medical laboratory technologist. Known for his quiet competence and commitment to helping others, he found additional joy in woodworking and creating things with his hands. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dora Hanania of Jonesboro; his son, Wissam Katbeh and his wife Rouba of Texas; his daughter, Sally Katbeh and her husband Dr. Tony Slieman of Jonesboro; and his grandchildren, Jad and Andrew of Texas, and Adel and Souryana of Jonesboro.
