Jacquelyn Yvonne "Jackie" Watson

Jacquelyn Yvonne Watson, age 85, of Aubrey, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. Born on October 19, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Clarence and Thelma (Horton) Berry, Jackie grew up in her beloved hometown and graduated from Central High School. She spent much of her working life in customer service, first with the Kansas City Gas Company and later retiring from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City.

Known affectionately as Jackie to friends and family, and as Nana to her grandchildren, she found deep joy in music, cooking, and especially grilling. She loved watching cooking shows and, above all, cherished the time spent with her family. Her warm presence and quiet devotion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Jacquelyn is survived by her daughters, Lisa Wooten and her husband Duane of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jennifer Opra of Aubrey, Texas, along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Thelma Berry; her sister, Patricia Redmond; her brothers, Thomas Berry and Maurice Berry; and her son-in-law, Vladimir Opra.

Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.
