Jacquelyn Lovett ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Kornegay Funeral Home - Camden Chapel on Mar. 17, 2026.Jackie Lovett, 94, entered Life Eternal on March 15, 2026. She is now peacefully with her parents and three older sisters in God's Heavenly Kingdom. She is the daughter of Henry Grady McDaniel and Eula Etheridge Evans and was the youngest of their four lovely daughters. Born in Fitzgerald, GA, she moved to Macon, GA with her family as a teenager, later graduating from Wesleyan College. Several years later, after completing her Masters degree at Auburn, she and her husband, Dan, moved to Camden, which has been their cherished home ever since. Jackie was a wonderful wife and mother and was a teacher in the Kershaw County school system for many years. She taught at Mt. Pisgah, Camden Elementary, Camden High School, and was a teacher and the first principal of Jospeh Kershaw Academy. She dearly loved all of her students and was mutually loved by them. She was a faithful and active member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church for over 65 years. She also was an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity Restore and Second Look store, where she served on their board. She was an avid gardener who grew a variety of flowers, especially Coleus and daylilies. She hybridized and introduced several new named varieties of daylilies and was a member of the Mid-Carolina Daylily Society and the American Hemerocallis Society. She was also known for her delicious caramel cake.Jackie is survived by her husband of 72 years, Dan; her daughters, Lynn Kennelly and Laurie Ford (Blake), both of Columbia; her grandchildren, Jason Fredericks, Becky Fredericks, Blake Ford, Jackson Ford, and Margaret Ford; and great-grandchildren, Sam Fredericks, Wylder Fredericks, and Marlowe Fredericks.A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC 29020. Family will receive friends in the family Life Center after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LSUMC, Habitat for Humanity Restore, 16 E.
