The Villages, FL

Jacqueline Mary Campbell (Jackie), age 77, of The Villages, FL, was surrounded by her husband, Francis and her lifelong friend, Sally Canna, as she went on her journey to Heaven, on March 2, 2026. Jackie was born and raised in West Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls in 1966 and went on directly to the original Bell Telephone Company which is now Verizon. She rose in ranks from a telephone operator (the old switchboard method) to eventually become a 2nd Level Manager for the Company. Upon retiring, after 38 years of dedicated service she and Fran moved to the lifelong dream of retiring in Florida. They chose The Villages as Jackie saw the vast community of activities and potential friends (which she acquired very many of them). She enjoyed golfing, playing cards with friends, going out to dinner with family and friends, along with being the President of the American Club Shamrock Division, which she held the position for 10 years and was Chairperson for the Residents Parades Jackie was also was a member of the Red Hats, the Celtic Club and too many other numerous clubs and social activities to mention. For all that knew Jackie, she was a very active woman and always planned and coordinated vacations. Jackie was the quintessential gatherer of friends and enjoyed each and every holiday and decorated extensively for each one. Jackie loved life and loved all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Francis (Fran), several of Fran’s brothers and a sister, cousins, nieces, nephews, Godchildren and her dearest lifelong friend, Sally Canna, along with too many other great friends to mention here. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, James Allen and Mary Allen (nee Reardon), her sisters Mary, Joan & Janice. Viewing will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 1008 Bichara Boulevard, The Villages, FL 32159 from 2-4 pm on March 18th and a Mass at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 am on March 19th, immediately followed by a luncheon in the church hall from 11:00-1:00. Burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, for Veterans and their families. In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions to a local Hospice.
