Jacqueline Louise Newhart

Jacqueline Louise Newhart, 90, of Newfield, New York, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born on February 27, 1936, in Ithaca, New York, to the late Jack Rivers and Louise Thomas Rivers, Jacqueline spent her life in the community she cherished. A longtime resident of her home on Pearl Street in Newfield, she remained close to her family throughout her years.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Kevin) Freund of Newfield, Jennifer (Stephen) Stansfield of Lusby, Maryland, Jessica Bergmark of Newfield, and Robert (Deanna) Newhart Jr. of Newfield; her grandchildren, Jason Carcelli of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Stephen Stansfield Jr. of Lusby, Nicole Hoffman of Newfield, Katharine Stansfield of Lusby, Kyle Newhart of Newfield, Christopher Miller of Owego, and Kayla (Craig) Geiger of Newfield; 22 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Roland Rivers of Voorheesville, New York.

Jacqueline was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Robert J. Newhart Sr., in 1991, her grandson Anthony Carcelli in 2001, and her son Daniel Blake in 2021. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the community that knew her well.
