She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Sr. Whitaker and Eunice Whitaker; and her husband James Allen Bland. She is survived by: her daughters, Kari Marie and Karen (Adam); her grandchildren, Nathan (Kami), Katryna and Daniel; and her siblings, Stan Jr. (Pam), Judy, Janet (Glen) and Joanie. She is also survived by 12 nieces & nephews, and a host of extended family.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Atonement Lutheran Church (6281 W Yale Ave, Lakewood, CO 80227). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, March 24th 2026 at the Inurnment Atonement Lutheran Church (6281 W Yale Ave, Lakewood, CO 80227).
