Newton, KS
Jacqueline “Jackie” Dalke, 86, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by her family in Newton, Kansas. Born on March 9, 1940, in Emporia, Kansas to Orville and Evelyn Montgomery, Jackie grew up with a deep sense of kindness, faith, and resilience that shaped every chapter of her life.
A proud graduate of Newton High School, Jackie pursued a career in healthcare, working as an X-ray technician at Axtell Hospital before later serving as a dental assistant for Dr. Gregg. Her gentle spirit, steady hands, and dedication touched countless lives.
On August 2, 1960, she married the love of her life, Alvin Dalke. Together they raised four children—Dianna, Brad, Brian, and David — and built a family that became Jackie’s greatest joy. She cherished her 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, who will forever remember her warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion.
A longtime member of Trinity Heights United Methodist Church, Jackie lived her faith daily and shared it generously with those around her.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her siblings, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love, generosity, and steadfast faith.
