Jacqueline Gene Blanton-Boone

Jacqueline “Jacki” Gene Blanton-Boone, age 69, of La Vergne, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.

Born on January 15, 1957, in Benton, Illinois, she was the daughter of Bobby Joe and Katie (Hayes) Taylor. She married Jerry L. Boone on September 16, 2011, and they shared 14 years of marriage. A longtime member of Heritage Baptist Church in Smyrna, Jacki had served as a Sunday school teacher. She found deep peace in her faith, joy in creating crafts by hand, and comfort in music. Her home was often filled with the voices of Elvis Presley, Toby Keith, Loretta Lynn, and many others. She held a special fondness for frogs, which never failed to bring a smile to her face, and she cherished her annual visits to Chicago, where a stop at Pepe’s was a beloved family tradition.

Above all, Jacki treasured her grandchildren and delighted in every moment spent with them. She was deeply loved by her family and friends, who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Boone of La Vergne; sons Mike (Cassandra) of Steger, Illinois, and Jarrod (Penny) of La Vergne; grandchildren Dallas, Autumn, Tyler, PJ, Toby, Athena, and Zoey; great-grandchildren Joey, Sebastian, and Angel; and brothers Tim (Kim) and Terry. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband George, her brother Michael Glenn Taylor, and her grandson Draven.
