Jacqueline Chandler Sheppard

Jacqueline Chandler Sheppard, 95, of Denton, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, surrounded by her family at home. Born in Denton on July 16, 1930, to Jim and Jeannette Landreth Chandler, she grew up attending Denton Public Schools and remained a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Denton.

Jacqueline lived a quiet, devoted life centered on her family and her deep roots in the community she had known since birth. She is remembered as a loving mother and grandmother whose steady presence and gentle spirit touched everyone around her.

She is survived by her three daughters, Danea Anderson of Denton, Teresa Johnson of Missouri, and Rebecca Boyd of Denton; two sons, Wallace Sheppard Jr. of Fort Worth and Brian Sheppard of Denton; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bill Chandler, and her husband, Wallace Sheppard.
