Jacqueline Ann Daley, 78, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home. Born in October 1947 in Norfolk, Virginia, she graduated from Old Dominion University and devoted her career to education. She taught history and government at Lake Taylor High School and later worked with the International Baccalaureate program at Granby High School. A passionate educator, Jacqueline challenged her students to think critically about the world and their place in it.
Beyond the classroom, she dedicated 15 years to the Virginia Aquarium Stranding Response Team, helping rescue and care for stranded marine animals along the Virginia coast. In retirement, she found new joy in the sport of flyball alongside her beloved dog, Vapor, embracing the camaraderie and energy of the game.
Jacqueline was known for her sharp intelligence, quick sarcastic wit, strong opinions, and the thoughtful conversations she inspired in those around her. She is survived by her daughter, Aimee Rockefeller Walker; her son-in-law, Robert Walker; and her granddaughter, Madison Walker.
