Born in 1933 to Jacob and Bernice Gieniec, he had been husband of 73 years to Anne since 1952; brother to Sister Mary, Elizebeth, Lorraine, and Johnny; father to Arlene (Patrick Tabor), Karen (Hardy Purvis III), Jerry Gieniec (Tinna), La'Nell (Luis Cruz), and Lisa; and grandfather and great-grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his lifetime, he was 35 years an employee for City Public Service, an excellent mechanic, a daring tree trimmer, a Mesquite TrailDrivers Trail Counselor, an active member of the Good Sam Camping & RV Club, musician, WWE fan, and lover of Country, Tejano, and Cajun music. He was a quiet man who liked to talk, often reminiscing at length of the former years to anyone who would listen. He could fix anything and kept himself busy to the end.
