Born on February 27, 1950, in Indianapolis, Jackie lived a life marked by both strength and a distinct spiritedness that those close to her lovingly described as “spicy.”
Jackie's journey began in Indianapolis, where she was raised by her parents, Lloyd and Doris Wash, who have since passed on. She built a life rooted in hard work and resilience, qualities evident throughout her career and personal life. Her role at Two Processing allowed her to forge not just metal but also lasting relationships with colleagues, reflecting her enduring commitment and craftsmanship.
Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Gunn, with whom she shared many years of companionship. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Linda Showecker, and Linda’s husband, Bob, whose presence undoubtedly brought Jackie great joy. Her siblings, Teresa Showecker, Tina Risley and her husband Kerry, and her brother, Larry Wash, remain as living witnesses to Jackie’s indomitable spirit and warmth within the family circle.
Jackie will be remembered for her strong character, her unwavering dedication to her work, and the spicy zest for life that she carried with her every day. Her legacy lives on through her family and all who had the privilege to know her.
