Jack W. Snyder Jr., 74, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away at 5:46 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at his residence following a sudden illness. Born on April 26, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana, to Jack W. and Frances (McGriff) Snyder, Jack grew up with a strong sense of duty and quiet determination that defined his life.

On May 6, 1977, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, he married Dorothy McGregor. Dorothy survives him, along with their daughter, Kimberly (Francisco Hernandez) Snyder of Elkhart, Indiana, and their son, Mike (Tammy) Snyder of Osceola, Indiana. Jack was a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren and great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy (Ron) Wise of South Bend, and his brother, Marc (Kathy) Snyder of Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roger Snyder and Tom Snyder.

Jack honorably served in the U.S. Army and later earned an associate’s degree from Oklahoma State Technical College. Those who knew him will remember a man of steady character who valued his family above all. He leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory with deep affection and gratitude for the years they shared.
