Jack R. McDaniel

Jack R. McDaniel

January 29, 1953 March 13, 2026

Winnsboro, LA

Jack Rigney McDaniel passed away at his residence on March 13, 2026. Born in Alexandria, Louisiana, he spent his adult life in north Louisiana, where he became a deeply respected member of the agricultural community. A lifelong member and elder in the Presbyterian Church, Jack lived with a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ, facing both joys and challenges with the love of the Lord and the hope of the resurrection always before him.

Gentle, humble, and quietly strong, Jack was slow to speak and quick to listen. When he did speak, his words carried sincerity and quiet wisdom. His thoughtfulness showed not only in what he said, but in the purposeful way he lived and the kindness he extended to others. Above all, nothing brought him greater joy than his grandchildren and great-grandson. Though miles often separated them, he embraced technology to make each one feel seen, remembered, and loved.

Jack was a true gentleman who left behind a legacy of grace, respect for others, and faithful living. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert William and Helen Hastings McDaniel, and his sisters Ann Robson and Madeleine McDaniel. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Tammie Ashley McDaniel; daughters Lauren McDaniel Privette (Sam) and Meredith McDaniel Dixon (Trey); grandchildren Jack, Sam, Renalyn, Eden, Max, Lily Marie, and Charles; great-grandson Elias; sisters Beth McDaniel and Susan Boyett; brothers Gary and Rob McDaniel; and many treasured nieces and nephews.
