Jack R. McConnaughey, age 82 of Auburn, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis; sons and daughters-in-law David of Auburn, Brian and Brook of Plattsmouth, and Jodie of Auburn; step-daughter Vicki (Alan) Lacy of Bellevue; grandchildren Kelby, Joel (Dani), Dylan, Blake, and Brityn; great-grandchildren Raegan, Clayton, and Anna Rae; brother and sister-in-law Clarence, Jr. and April of Auburn; sisters Doris Rempe of Lawrence, Nebraska, and Louann McConnaughey of Auburn; and many other relatives and friends.
Jack lived a full life surrounded by the love of his family. He will be remembered fondly by those who knew him best. His wishes were to be cremated with no services, and burial of his ashes will take place at a later date in Sheridan West Cemetery in Auburn.
