Born March 4, 1948, in New York City, he was the son of Tommie Burke and Josephine Ferguson.He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Corey Burke and Steven Burke. He was divorced from Lucia Natal Burke, with whom he shared children, and she remained his best friend until the end of his life. He leaves behind two children, his son, Ali Burke and daughter, Kinya Savedra (Steven), along with his grandchildren Jonae, Johnnyjoe, Aliah-Milan, Kali-Marie, Khaleesi-Michelle, Kayla, Keyshawn, and Kam'ron.Jack also leaves behind one goddaughter, Shieryl; the children he became a father figure to: Angelina (AJ), Naeemah (Me), Amber, Juwan (Juan Juan), Rashad (Ray Ray) and their children, who carried his warmth and guidance into their lives.
