Jack OKopski ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes – MacDonald Chapel - Howell on Mar. 16, 2026.Jack Dempsey OKopski, age 86, longtime Howell resident, formerly of Garden City, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026 in Okemos. He was born September 6, 1939 in Detroit, the son of Valentine and Pearl (Hutchinson) OKopski. He is survived by his daughter Denise OKopski and son Dennis (Belinda) OKopski. Grandfather of Breanna (Gary Kukulka) OKopski, and Leeanna (Duke Carlos) OKopski and great grandfather to Grady M. Kukulka. Also survived by his brother Eugene OKopski and sisters Cheri Grassel and Jewel OKopski. He was preceded by his wife Darlene, son Jack and eight of his siblings. Jack was builder in the construction trades. He enjoyed traveling with his family to Key Largo, Florida, swimming, hunting in Hillman, Michigan, riding his Honda Goldwing, fishing, was an excellent mechanic, enjoyed restoring cars and loved his Doberman Pinschers . A funeral service will be held Friday, March 20, at 2:00 PM at Watkins Funeral Homes, MacDonald's Chapel of Howell. Visitation will take place on Friday from 10:00 AM until the start of the services at 2:00 PM.
