Jack Higley ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by eCare Mortuary Cremation & Burial - Olympia on Mar. 5, 2026.A soldier, mechanic, and lover of the open country.Jack Conrad Higley died at his home in February 23rd 2026.A military brat, Jack was raised alongside his four siblings by his loving parents, John and Bonnie (La Vonne). Jack followed in his father's footsteps, giving years of faithful service to the U.S. military. After his service, Jack's adventurous spirit took him from Minnesota north to Alaska, where he built a life working as an aircraft mechanic. Alaska suited him well-he loved the outdoors and embraced everything it had to offer. Whether he was fishing, hunting, riding snow machines, or simply enjoying the wide-open spaces, Jack lived life as though he didn't have a care in the world. In retirement, Jack moved to Washington, where he was close to his parents. After their passing, he found his niche in the Big Hanaford Valley. He enjoyed daily rides in the hills, listening to music, a hot cup of coffee on the porch, a cold beer at a bonfire, and the camaraderie of his neighbors. He is survived by his son Michael Higley (April) of Baxter, MN; grandchildren Devin Higley of Alexandria, MN; Brainna Higley (Donnie) of Palmer, AK; Sabrina Hingst (Josh) of Bertha, MN; and great-grandchildren Ariel, Aylah, Sofia, and Aliya. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
