Istivan Clevondon Douglas

Istivan Douglas, 68, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 9, 2026. Born on February 19, 1958, in Concord to Frances Douglas Wright and the late George Ford, he graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School.

Istivan was preceded in death by his father, George Ford; brother, Algar Avon Douglas; sister, Theresa Johnson; step-father, Kelly Wright; maternal grandmother, Aggerline Smith; and paternal grandmother, Essie Ford.

He is survived by his daughter, LaVonda Douglas of Concord; grandchildren, Alexis Walker and Brach Walker; his mother, Frances Wright; brothers, Kevin Douglas, Clinton Douglas (Ursula), Kenneth Douglas (Mary), and Corey Spears; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Istivan was known for his love of working with his hands, whether building or rebuilding things. A devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His passing leaves a void in the family that can never be filled, for there will never be another quite like him.
