Ione Brezina ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by White Funeral Home - Farmington on Mar. 13, 2026.Ione Ruth Brezina "me mom" passed away very peacefully on March 11, 2026, at the young age of 92 years and 9 months, from cancer.She was born June 25, 1933, in Motley, MN.She married David Hainka and they later divorced.She married Edward Brezina on May 14, 1993.Ione went to high school in Hastings, MN and graduated in 1953 and 25 years later went to U of M College for 1 year for a degree in Psychology.Ione worked in her younger years at Golden Fox, Gemini, and point of sales for many years.She lived in Cannon Falls for many years and moved to Lakeville where she worked at Menasha, Duo-Form Plastic until she retired in 1995 and moved to Farmington. Ione loved to play her drums, watch her son's race stock cars (which she drove too and she also drove a semi truck.)She loved to travel and fish, sew and listen to Blue Grass music, Country music, and loved to work in the garden and bake apple pie and her famous banana bread.Ione loved to spend time with her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and great-great grandson.She was preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Pearl Goodwater, eight brothers; Walter, Frank, Roy, Skelly, Paul, Floyd, Clifford, Leonard and six sisters; Iva, Molly, Florence, Unice, EllaMae, and Marie; her son Ronnie; grandson Justin; Linda Dawley, and Suzie Wagner.She is survived by brother, Charles Goodwater.She is survived by her 7 children; Darryl (Kay), Kenneth (Cheryl-Colleen), Cheryl, Marcene (Mike), Lori, and David (Carrie), 16 grandchildren: Luke, Becky, Amanda, Shilada, (Brandon), Kenne Jr., Baby Lynn, Lillimae (Travis), Randal, Shawna, Dillon, Michael (Sydney) Tammy (Darek), Mitch (Rose), Melissa (Travis), Ryan, and Kylie, and 23 great grandchildren: Emma, Hazley, Maddie (Dylan), Austin, (Dani), Trina (MacKenzie), Destiney, Rayln, McKenzie, Alex, Bennett, Owen, Chevryn, Alivia, Rilynn, Zavier, Avella, Bexley, Jett, Gage, MaKayla, Miles, Michael, Felicity and Ivy, and 1 great great Grandson: Grayson. Extended family: David Dawley, Gene (Mary) Wagner, Chris (Donna) Wagner, Peggy (Darryl) Eichenbergen, Randy (Vicki) Barker and Mike Barker, as well as many cousins and friends.Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday March 28, 2026 at the White Funeral Home, 901 3rd St Farmington with a visitation starting at 10 AM. Interment, Corinthian Cemetery, Farmington.
